Experiencing loss of memory or having difficulty recalling memories can often be a distressing and confusing experience attributed to old age.
Deterioration in memory is not a natural part of ageing however, and is not something that should be left ignored. While it is true that there are mild effects on a person’s memory as they get older there are some clear signs if you should seek help or speak to a professional.
If you find that you are forgetting whole events, often find yourself confused, or feel lost in familiar surroundings then a call to our memory assessment clinics could provide some answers and could lead to possible treatment for any symptoms that are worrying you.
Our free service allows us to see patients within 4 weeks of contact and your GP is kept up to date with all proceedings. You will be invited to one of our assessment clinics based in Blackpool or Bradford. Our experienced staff will ask some questions about your medical history and perform a memory assessment.
Following your assessment we will inform you and your GP of the results and invite you back to the centre to further monitor your development. Your time with us will assist in reaching a diagnosis for any problems you may be facing and help to build a support network for any long-term requirements.
If you do believe you have a memory problem or are troubled about the condition of a loved one then you don’t have to suffer in isolation. A call to one of our clinics could be the first step to diagnosing what may be an easily treatable condition.
Calls are free and our advisers are friendly, sensitive to your needs, and can help arrange your visits at a time that is appropriate and accommodating to you.
